The Green Book, by Elizabeth Rogers and Thomas M. Kostigen, give the issues of our environment top drawer treatment. Looking at the way Americans use water and energy, and what we do with our waste, they offer useful and practical tips.
Celebrities, including Robert Redford, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Aniston, Faith Hill, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. contribute suggestions for living green. Rogers and Kostigen establish 12 aspects of our habitat, like home, work, and school, and suggest better lifestyle choices for each. Small adjustments are the focus of the book that add up to significant and positive environmental effects by using descriptive rather than numerical analyses.
A few simple suggestions in The Green Book are:
* No more ATM receipts. If the whole United States chose to not print their ATM receipts, there would be more than 2 billion feet of paper saved. This would wrap around the equator 15 times!!
* Use voicemail on your home phone. If you did this and disconnected your answering machine, in the USA alone there would be a savings of nearly 2 billion kilowatt hours.

All lovers of Elmo - here is the next great Christmas gift idea - Elmo Live! Elmo is talkiing, singing, joking in a brand new interactive way. Sesame Street is known for encouraging creative and entertaining play. Elmo Live! fits the bill perfectly again for kids ages 18 month and beyond.
He Moves, Talks, and Dances - Elmo Live!
Elmo Live! has the furry, bright-red exterior and the big eyes so well known in the popular Sesame Street character. His actions give him a life-like quality:
His mouth and head move while he talks, sings, and tells stories;
He moves his arms in emphasis and also his legs.
He can even cross his legs when he sits on the stool that is included.
15 out 18 reviews raved about the sweet simplicity of making Elmo Live! play. They rated his animated story telling top of the list. And added his silly sounds were not to be overlooked either.
Leave it to the creators of Elmo Live! to even make the powering down fun. When Elmo hasn’t been played with for a while, he yawns and says he is tired.

Our family game night was one I looked forward to when I was younger. We all would pull up a chair around our kitchen table, make ice cream floats and play cards. It was a great time together.
Being a busy family of 6, we tended to go our separate ways a lot. So this was instrumental in reconnecting with each other. Because my husband’s family had the same fun times, we decided before we started our family to also implement this activity too.
As is common with childhood memories, you don’t see the problems involved in making such activities happen. We quickly realized that the age difference between our oldest and youngest (7 years) posed a problem in finding a game that both could play and enjoy.
A Few Ideas
So you weren’t really expecting me to not have a few ideas here, were you? I do. Starting with the game we learned on our last family vacation - Mexican Train Dominoes. We all could play it together - important with the size of our family - and it was fun. Plus the dominoes rules for Mexican Train aren’t hard to learn. We did find after buying the inexpensive game that the rules in the game were not the same as the ones we learned. Find the “Hellstrom” domino rules on the website listed below.

Personalized gifts for men make wonderful gifts for him. It’s so difficult buying gifts for men, and so it’s often necessary to make the gift you choose a little different. And personalizing it is a great way to make a men’s gift that extra bit special.
Personalizing a gift for him is a special gift that says it comes from YOU. A gift that only you can give him. Personalizing his gift is a way of making sure he remembers where his gift comes from.
But how do you go about personalizing a gift for a man to make it a special gift for him?
Here’s 3 great ideas for a mans personalized gift.
1. An engraved gift is a fine way to make a wonderful personalized mens gift. Maybe he loves beer, and you could find a hot and unique set of beer glasses, and personalize them with an extra special message from you to him. A special message that he will see for years.
There’s some wonderful online stores where you can buy a huge range of mens gifts and many of them offer engraving services. Why not an NFL gift or a A NBL gifr or any one of thousands of others that can all be engraved. And often you find engraving is free.

When you think of a snow globe you see a clear glass sphere containing a heartwarming scene highlighted by flaking snow. It is a sight that will catch a child’s or even a grown-up’s attention, curiosity, and to some extent, approbation. But even the most meticulously made snow globe comes from a humble beginning.
A snow globe is actually easy to make. You can even pull up things at home to create your very own snow globe. All you need is a few things and a little know-how. For the basics here are the materials you would need to collect:
A clear glass jar with a tightly sealing cover - This may range from a variety of shapes and sizes. Used materials like a pickle jar, salsa jar, mason jar or whatever you can get your hands on will do.
Waterproof decorative supplies - These are what you will need for your scene. Best to think of a theme so that you know what you will need to collect. A variety of things would suit your needs like tiny figurines, baked clay, plastic things - go wild.

Some celebrations in life must be accorded with eminence. Christmas is one of them. Christmas only comes but once in a year and it is an occasion and it is normally a generous of occasion of giving, partying and usually accompanied by fellowship.
The season is normally a time for joy that is accompanied by signing, gladness and celebrations to mark the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. It is a time that people use to get together and presents you with an occasion to meet long lost friends or family members and bringing back lost memories as you pass the older traditions to the younger generations.
A Christmas holiday is never complete without feasting and the customary gifts for family, friends and colleagues. The season is marked by traveling to new destinations around the world and trying new recipes all in the name of fun and joy
Celebrating Christmas is well and good but this comes at a considerable dent to the pocket. The current economic crunch is not any god news either. That is why economists advocate for simple Christmas celebrations marked by simple gifts for family, friends, co-workers and colleagues.

With the cost of living continually soaring high, many people have resorted to inexpensive ways even when it comes to planning for Christmas holidays. Simple holiday dinners and the buying of inexpensive gifts for family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors are in vogue.
