Baby Showers are such an exciting time for Mums-To-Be and the best part about the special day is “Present Time”. Everyone paws over the tiny clothes, remembering just how small a newborn is.
So what do you get for a baby shower present? Well, I have noticed that when the mum-to-be opens up something hand made, it almost always gets the biggest reaction! You see all baby presents are welcomed and appreciated, but when something unique is made just for your baby ” it makes you feel REALLY special.
You’ll also get special mention for a long time after the baby is born. “Aunt Tracey made this blankie especially for you”.
If you can sew a straight line – You CAN do this. It’s really easy and here I have listed a step-by-step outline to making a cute blankie.
HAND-MADE BLANKIES!
STEP 1: Go to the nearest shop (eg. Spotlight or Lincraft) and look for flannelette fabric
STEP 3: Pick out 2 fabrics that you like for either side of the blankie. Get creative and mix and match. If you don’t know what sex the baby is, then maybe do one side pink pattern and the other a blue pattern.

American Girl Dolls were the invented by a doll maker named Pleasant T. Rowland. Rowland saw the need for dolls that just “let girls be girls” instead of dolls that influenced girls to role-play as mothers or other adults. The doll maker combined this idea with portions of our country’s history, and then the entire concept of the doll was complete. If you or a special girl in your life collects these dolls, you’ll need to learn how to choose and buy American Girl Dolls, and American girl Mia
Each doll was designed to be a nine-year-old girl who has its own detailed, personal background which was written in book form. By reading the books that came with their dolls, girls could find out about the story behind the girl as well as about a part of American history. The American Girl Doll company was started in 1986. The first-edition dolls contained just three, eighteen-inch collectible dolls. Their names were Kirsten Larson from Sweden; Molly McIntire, who hailed from the Midwest during World War II; and Samantha Parkington who was from the early 20th century.

When a couple finds out they’re about to become parents, it’s the most joyous time in their lives. But as with any exciting change, the couple may be overwhelmed with all the things they need to do to get prepared for their bundle of joy’s arrival. If you are planning on helping them with this, then hosting a baby shower for them is always appreciated. Here are some ideas to quickly create easy and cute baby shower centerpieces for the party:
Diaper Cake This is one of the cutest baby shower centerpieces ever imagined. Using a bag of disposable diapers, you create round “cake” layers by binding together handfuls of the diapers. Then stack the layers into a layer cake shape and attach them together with tape or ribbons. Once you’ve done that, you can add small baby accessories like pacifiers, baby bottles, rattles and small toys all around the sides of the layers or hanging off the sides. Then add a top to the cake with a small stuffed toy, baby bank or balloons. The parents can take the diaper cake home with them at the end of the shower and use all the items for their new baby.

Because of the massive discussions on the internet with regards to the giant company Nintendo showing some early presentations of its next home console hardware, many are wondering if next generation of Wii Console, successor of Nintendo Wii, will soon be really released.
The said next generation of Wii Console is said to hit the market by 2011. It is believed that it will be the true next generation Nintendo console and will actually be far more than a simple refresh of the present hardware. Therefore, possibly, it will provide high definition visuals giving importance on digitally distributed and backwardly compatible content.
Many are also expecting that now with the new generation, Nintendo will feature some form of local storage medium like hard drive or large flash memory and use a chip that can perform 1 trillion calculations per second. And possibly, new generation will have cameras to track body motions and translate them on the screen. Nintendo wants to develop console that will not anymore have hand controllers, instead just use cameras to translate your movements.

Among types of children’s toys, the stuffed animals have become synonymous with the word stuffed toys. As kids we are always amazed by these creatures and their uniqueness as living things and so modern kids are not spared by these animal magnetism.
Most toys are modeled from them and the more adorable they look, the more popular they could be. Webkinz toys have always aimed for that mission and it is evident in their range of products. Typically, there are many kinds of animals in the Webkinz list and before buying that adorable gift for the waiting kids; you ought to know the animal kinds first.
Normal Pets/ Animals:
For a child, natural curiosity will rise just by seeing these howling, barking, and hissing pets round the house so giving them a stuffed toy with the same appearance will likely improved their memory and another plus point is that, safety would be preferable than finding the reason why you heard that cat hissed in the playroom (unfortunately some pets gets carried away sometimes).

Getting quality gifts for Valentines day doesn’t need to be a challenge. You really want to find something meaningful that expresses your feelings, something just right.
Also Valentine’s gifts should be thoughtful, something that has meaning to it. Find a gift that is a reminder daily of your love and devotion, such a ring or necklace, or a locket with pictures inside.
Another thing about a great Valentine’s Day gift would be something that reminds your sweetheart of a special moment you have shared together, such as a picture from a special date, your wedding or anniversary, mounted in a special frame.
Did you ever see the wedding proposal’s on the big screen at a baseball game? Or the airplane skywriting it across the sky? Well Valentines success can be the same in that the delivery is important. Put your gift in a velvet box, or dress up and deliver it at an unusual time of day.
Getting a great gift for Valentines day can make a memory for many years. Finding a quality and thoughtful gift need not be difficult, you just need to observe and listen to your sweetheart to find that perfect gift.

Barbie is a fashion doll created by Mattel. She was launched March 1959 and from then on has been one of the famous dolls. It is believed that credit for Barbie’s creation and success should be given to American businesswoman Ruth Handler who was inspired by German doll called Bild Lilli and eventually was led to the idea of developing a similar doll but should be called Barbie.
For almost fifty years, Barbie has been a part of every girls’ wish list for Christmas or other similar occasions. She has been one of the kids’ most favorite toys and has been one of the best seller toys online, particularly in eBay and Amazon.
However, although Barbie has definitely been a part of every girls’ life, she continued to be the subject of many lawsuits and controversies, oftentimes involving parody of the doll and her lifestyle. Recently, Barbie has faced stiff competition with Bratz range of dolls which are dolls that have also been so popular to girls.
